A woman was caught on video as she hit passing cars with her heels while standing in the middle of busy street amid an apparent meltdown.
The shocking incident unfolded in Changsha, in southern China’s Hunan Province in the middle of the day on 10th September.
Phone footage shows the unnamed woman first lying in the middle of the road before apparently getting upset at passing vehicles that honk at her while trying to go around her.
Concerned passersby stop at the side of the pavement and watch on as she begins to roll on the street.
Motorists are forced to halt to avoid accidentally running her over.
All of a sudden, she gets up and walks over to the nearest vehicles, then begins hitting them with her heels.
She seems to briefly consider striking a passing motorcycle rider but decides to let him through.
Then, she lies down right in front of a white sedan, preventing its driver from moving.
A few seconds later, she gets back up, hits it with her shoe and continues chasing other cars.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman had been striking passing vehicles with her high heels long before the footage was captured.
They alerted police and officers eventually managed to get her off the street.
Police later said the woman suffers from a mental illness and has since been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
