An estate agent who became a laughing stock after pitching a home for sale with photos so blurred they’re barely recognisable has claimed he did it as a joke to get attention – and was delighted it worked.

Property salesman Muhd Ferdaus had listed the five-roomed house in Cheras, Malaysia, as a quick sale bargain for just GBP 123,000 (MYR 720,000).
But his pictures of the des-res property were so appalling that nobody could see what they were supposed to be buying.
He’d listed the house on the Facebook group ‘Property for sale/rent in Selangor and KL’ group on 4th September saying: “URGENT URGENT URGENT”.
The ad went on: “Sale below market. House for sale in Pandan Perdana. Fully renovated, five rooms, two toilets. Large parking lot. Modern style double-story end lot unit, with an 80-year leasehold.”
But the advert got more laughs than offers as social media users ridiculing the unrecognisable photographs sent it viral.
One Facebook user ‘Sham Ridzuan II’ said: “Is it urgent to sell, or urgent to go to the loo?”
Another user named ‘Mohd Fazlen’ continued: “Hello. Is there an earthquake of 9.0 magnitude Richter scale there?”

And ‘Mis X Efendi’ added: “Urgent? To the haunted house? Are you being chased by a ghost, bro?”
But in an interview with Newsflash Muhd, a dad-of-two from Kuala Lumpar, claimed the blurred photo were deliberate to illustrate the urgency of the sale.
He said: “I edited the photos to make it more fun, because as I tell people, selling property is supposed to be fun. Why to stress about it?”
He added: “The owner wants to sell it urgently. So to make it look very urgent, I edited the photo like rushing when viewing the house.
“Going viral was not what I expected, actually I just posted the listing as a joke. It’s kind of a blowup unnoticed in just a few days.
“The owner asked for MYR 720,000 [GBP 123,228] only as it is fully renovated, plus [it’s a] below market price.
“The houses in this area usually rate from 800,000 [GBP 136,920] and above.”
