Accused Sonali Sen walked into the police station in Bengaluru, Karnataka State, on 12th June with a wheelie suitcase, according to local media.

This shocking image shows how the case was stuffed with her mother’s curled-up body.

Sen – a trained physiotherapist from Assam State, India – reportedly confessed to killing her mother, identified in reports as Biva Pal.

According to reports, the 39-year-old Bengaluru resident had gone to Mico Layout Police Station with the heavy suitcase by auto rickshaw.

In a macabre detail, she had stashed a framed snap of the victim’s late husband in the case with the body.

Sen reportedly admitted to the police that she had choked her 71-year-old mother to death after plying her with sleeping pills.

A senior official said: “Senali Sen administered approximately 20 sleeping tablets to her mother on Monday morning.

“After Biva Pal complained of stomach pain resulting from the ingestion of the pills, she was then strangled to death by her own daughter.”

Local police chief C.K. Baba added: “Yesterday at around 11 to 11.30 am, the woman choked her mother with a veil when her husband had gone for work at Hebbagodi based company in the city.”

Sen is known to have been on blood pressure medications but has no known history of mental illness.

The police believe that as the mother of an autistic son, she may have been under severe stress at the time.

She had reportedly been living in the same apartment as her son, her husband, her mother, and her mother-in-law.

Baba told local media: “Sen is her parents’ lone child. She has been looking after her for the past five years. The victim had a few medical conditions.

“When the murder occurred, her mother-in-law and her child were also present in the house but in a different room.”

According to the police, there had been frequent arguments between Biva and Sen’s parents-in-law.

According to the investigation, Biva had recently told her daughter that she wanted to end her life because of the alleged harassment from the in-laws.

Sen is now being investigated for murder.
