The bizarre video shows a woman dropping the keys to her apartment eight floors down the lift shaft after an argument with her partner.

Surveillance camera footage recorded in the city of Yantai, in China’s eastern province of Shandong, portrayed the lady’s partner waiting for her to exit their flat at around 4:56pm on 24th March.

Right after leaving the flat, the woman can be seen teasing the man by lifting the keys in the air and offering them to him, before suddenly pulling them away the moment he reached for them.

The man then jokingly tapped the woman on the face, leading to her immediate response with a strike of her own.

However, the woman then took things to the next level, as she suddenly dropped the keys down the narrow crack of the shaft when the lift reached their floor.

The end of the video depicted the puzzled man standing motionless, and watching as the woman playfully approached him.

The clip triggered an avalanche of reactions on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, leaving users unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin user ‘Take it easy and be at ease~’ said: “Brother, where did you find this stupid wife?”

Then user ‘Xin Niannian’ commented: “I want to know what happened next.”

And ‘Yantai professional water leakage detection, leakage detection’ added: “Years ago, my car key was also slipped into it.”

The video has fetched more than 5,000 likes and over 1,000 shares as of 29th March.
