This shocking footage shows a woman apparently angry at the slow service beating a female delivery worker with a large stick as she chases her around inside a restaurant.
The deliverywoman was reportedly assaulted while picking up an order at an eaterie in Tianmen, in central China’s Hubei Province.
As she was getting the takeaway, the woman suddenly entered wielding a short stick and violently attacked her.
The blow caused the deliverywoman to stagger and instantly fall to the ground.
Shocked witnesses filmed the violent woman, who has a short haircut and is dressed in a baggy white T-shirt and grey trousers, swinging the stick at the poor worker who is hiding under a table.
But it seems to be of no use as the small tabletop is unable to shield her from the fierce attack and she is forced to raise her arms to defend herself.
She struggles to get up and run away as her aggressor continues to beat her hard.
As she attempts to escape, the worker knocks down chairs and pushes tables aside, but the woman follows after her and continues to batter her with the stick.
Desperate to get away, the worker wiggles her way through the tables, apparently trying to make it to a man seen standing close by and a restaurant employee, seemingly hoping they can help her out.
Meanwhile, her attacker continues to chase her around until the footage cuts.
Onlookers reportedly intervened to stop the woman and encouraged the deliverywoman to report the incident to the police.
By the time the police arrived, the perpetrator had already left the scene, disappearing into the crowd.
According to the staff, the woman had frequented the store multiple times and often appeared to be in a bad mood.
The employees speculated that this incident might be related to her previous complaints. She would reportedly often claim the delivery was too slow and even expressed her dissatisfaction several times on social media.
Employees believe the attack might have been the culmination of her accumulated frustration with the food delivery worker, leading her to lose control of her emotions and resort to extreme actions.
Police are currently investigating.
