This is the hilarious moment an elderly woman ‘hangs’ her pet kitten to dry on a clothes rack after a bath.
In one piece of footage, the old woman, not named in local media, could be seen combing through the kitten’s white as-snow fur as it hung from a drying rack, hoisted by a hanger attached to its little blue cat sweater.
Placed next to a tall window exposed to warm sunlight at their apartment in Guangdong Province, in south-eastern China, it appeared to be enjoying the treatment as it was dozing off.
Its pulled-back sweater revealed a plump belly, an apparent sign it is well looked after.
The old woman reportedly placed the fluffy pet on the rack to dry after bathing it.
It continued to sleep despite its owner continuing to tease it by poking at its hind paws.
The video, shared with the humorous caption: “Sleeping, do not disturb, except for meals,” raked in more than 660,000 likes and over 690,000 shares on Douyin, China’s TikTok, where it posted on 20th March.
Another clip seems to reveal the drying method is a common practice in the woman’s household.
It also showed the kitten hanging from a wire. This time held up by two clothes pegs next to a few pairs of socks.
