The footage shows the man on his motorcycle struggling to stay on the road before the water carries it away along with him still on it.
People watching and filming can be heard chuckling as he begins to be carried off down the stream.
But there is a moment of concern, with one person heard shouting out to him as his head goes under the water.
The man can be seen beginning to swim vigorously as the footage ends.
The motorcyclist, who has not been named, was reportedly rescued by locals a short while later.
He did not sustain any injuries, according to local media.
The state of Madhya Pradesh has been battered by floods this summer, leaving thousands of people displaced during India’s monsoon season, which typically lasts until the end of the month.
Local media reported the Indian Meteorological Department as saying on Saturday that the Harda district had received 11.8 mm of rainfall in 24 hours and that it had been raining for three days.
