This is the shocking moment a little boy survives a terrifying fall through the ceiling as he lands on top of a refrigerator on the bottom floor.
CCTV footage captured the painful-looking fall at a restaurant in Suqian, in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province at around 1:50pm on 26th August.
In the video – shared later on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok – a boy is seen crashing through the ceiling and startling his mum who jumps up from her seat.
He barely avoids slamming against the floor when his foot gets caught on top of a tall fridge which causes him to stay onto it without falling to the ground.
He and his mum then exchange silent looks followed by the woman gasping and looking around at the pieces of debris in shock.
According to the boy’s mother – named Ms Cui in local media – the incident occurred on the second floor of the restaurant, where there was a partition.
The child climbed on something but did not realise there was nothing to step on, and he fell from that spot.
She revealed that her son is very mischievous, and he has been in similar accidents many times before so she grew accustomed to it.
But despite being used to her son causing trouble, Ms Cui said she felt immense worry when she saw him crash through the ceiling.
Luckily, there was a refrigerator below, and Ms Cui said the child was not harmed.
