This is the moment a woman narrowly escapes serious injury after she tries to avoid a plant growing in the pavement and falls onto a car driving past.
Fortunately, she narrowly missed falling in front of the vehicle and instead toppled into the side during the incident in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong on 9th October.
The video shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, shows the woman wearing a black and white sweater bending down to avoid the plants on her way home when she loses her balance, falling directly onto the moving car’s door.
The car driver hoots the horn and stops right away while the woman appears startled as she sits on the floor in a puddle and nurses her injuries.
A man with an umbrella who was already heading away turned round and came back. He spoke to the woman and was then joined by the driver, and the three of them exchanged a few words.
A second footage show the accident from the driver’s dash camera where it appears as if the woman bumps onto something while trying to pass and loses her balance.
The woman was said to be injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment of a head injury.
Netizen ‘our living conditions’ commented: “If the white car hadn’t blocked her, the woman might have landed on her head if she fell sideways.”
While ‘Minglang laser private customization’ added: “This was just an accident. The car was not at fault, and the person was not at fault. It just happened that the person was not walking steadily and fell, and the car happened to pass by!”
