A Rolls-Royce was carried over 170 meters up the side of a skyscraper so it could be deposited on a spacious terrace on the 44th floor of a penthouse suite.

Local media confirmed from the real estate firm that managed the property in Xiamen, in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian, that the lifting of the Rolls-Royce was for a commercial event on June 11.

The weight of the Rolls-Royce is about 2.5 tons, ad the staff said: “It took a lot of calculations and experiments to tow it up before we started to do this. The whole process was completed by the engineering department of the real estate firm.”

The real estate staff confirmed that the lifting of Rolls-Royce was for a commercial event organized by Rolls-Royce and the real estate developer.

The video shows that the Rolls-Royce was placed in a unique iron cage that was hoisted by three steel cables alongside to the building’s wall.

After the Rolls-Royce reached the 44th floor, several workers coordinated their efforts to pull the car onto the sky terrace with a steel rope.

Both real estate and car dealers said that there was no risk to the car or the public with the carefully planned project.

As for the load-bearing of the terrace, the staff said that “there was no problem with safety”.
