A couple spotted driving in a red Ferrari sparked online controversy over their seemingly massive age gap, with the man old enough to be his lover’s grandfather.
The two were filmed cruising in the approximately GBP-400,000 luxury sportscar alongside traffic in Jiangmen, in south-eastern China’ Guangdong Province.
The clip – shared on social media – shows the man who seems to be about 70 years old steering the red Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
Beside him sits a gorgeous black-haired woman that appears to be nearly three times younger than him.
Baffled netizens soon tracked down the couple and found they are actually married.
Images also began circulating online, with one photo showing the pair holding up their marriage certificates and forming a heart shape with their arms.
Another shows them in matching Doraemon T-shirts and holding up Chinese marriage certificates.
The images drew mixed reactions online, with some users criticising the young beauty for being with a rich man old enough to be her grandfather.
Others, however, said love knows no age limits and wished them a happy life.
One user titled ‘six years old’ said in a comment: “Awesome, if you’ve got money, other pleasures come along as well.”
Another user titled ‘old dream’ said: “The beauty of whoever sits in the passenger seat of a luxury car never lets down.”
While user ‘i am stanley’ wrote: “Blessings, it is a very happy thing to be able to be with beautiful women at such an old age.”
The couple’s identities and exact ages are currently unknown.
