This is the rare moment a woman playing pool trying to ‘break’ the racked balls ends up almost back where she started as two of them roll in a way that ends up with the white ball back at the top and the green ball returning to complete the triangle.

CCTV footage shows the player, named Xiao Ni, shooting her first shot with the cue stick at what looks to be an arcade bar in Liyang, in China’s eastern Jiangsu Province, on 28th November.

She struck the cue ball and it hit the top of the racked balls, causing one of them to roll across the table.

To her surprise, the balls circled around the pool table, hit several corners and bounced off each other, before each one rolled right back to leave the table looking as it had before she took the shot – and as if the balls had never been moved.

Stunned by the unexpected outcome, Xiao burst out laughing at the wasted shot before the footage ended.
