This shocking footage shows a lucky motorist escaping a massive boulder by an inch the moment it came crashing down from the mountainside as he drove by.
Frightening dash-cam footage filmed from the car travelling right behind shows the red SUV travelling along a rainy road in Shennongjia, in central China’s Hubei Province at around 9:00am on 2nd October.
Suddenly, a huge rock comes tumbling down the mountain and misses the vehicle by a scratch as its driver quickly steers to the right and dodges it.
The driver then comes to an immediate stop apparently to compose themselves after avoiding the falling rocks that punched a hole through the asphalt.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but the incident has raised concerns about public safety after the clip reached Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.
One user titled ‘5984544832144’ commented: “This road is too dangerous to pass; authorities need to close it immediately.”
Another user titled ‘s686’ wrote: “I will never dare to drive along this kind of a road in all my life.”
And user ‘deep blue flying fish’ said: “Without your driving recorder, I wouldn’t be able to see this shocking scene. I can only say that the driver of the car in front was truly lucky.”
