This is the shocking moment two teen girls on a motorcycle have a brush with death as they cross a red light at speed and slam into a moving car.

Street surveillance cameras captured the accident at a busy intersection in Chenzhou, in China’s southern Hunan Province.

Numerous vehicles are seen passing the main street when all of a sudden, an out-of-control motorbike flies through a red light and rams into a grey sedan whose driver had no way of averting the collision.

The two young girls who rode the bike then wound up on the vehicle’s roof as their motorcycle flew off from under them and got knocked over on the street.

The shocker female driver immediately slammed the brakes and stepped outside, apparently trying to make sure the girls were okay.

Both seemed fine and hurriedly hopped off the car, then ran towards their bike as the confused woman chased after them.

It was later revealed that the girl who steered the bike was a middle school pupil surnamed Li, and she was accompanied by her classmate Xiao.

When questioned by police, Li reportedly said she crashed because of her inexperienced driving and inability to brake.

Li, who is under 16 years old, was found solely responsible for the accident and was fined CNY 220 (GBP 24) for riding a motorcycle without license plates, carrying a passenger illegally, running a red light, and not wearing a safety helmet as required.
