This dramatic footage shows an out-of-control vehicle suddenly flying over the median strip on a busy motorway and crashing into two cars moving in the opposite direction.

The incident reportedly occurred just shy of an overpass in Changzhou, in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province at around 2:00pm on 26th August.

Dash-cam footage shows a black sedan suddenly crashing into the median strip as it passed under the bridge.

The powerful impact sends the car flying several feet into the air and striking a moving vehicle as it violently spins around above the ground.

Seconds later, it lands hard against the windshield of the vehicle filming and the footage gets disrupted by the crash.

Another piece of footage filmed from above shows the chaotic scene as the wrecked sedan lies overturned on the road, next to the two other cars it collided with.

Dozens of witnesses have gathered at the scene and are seen standing around a parked ambulance.

The camera then turns to the left to show a massive traffic jam as countless vehicles wait for the motorway to clear.

A fourth piece of footage shows emergency workers attempting to navigate vehicles through the pile of debris and broken tree branches that the sedan tore off when it went over the strip.

No casualties have been reported.

The number of injured people is unclear but police said they were all sent to hospital for treatment.

The road was later cleared and traffic was restored by 6:00pm.
