A man was drenched with rain water while he was playing on his phone inside his wife’s restaurant.
The sudden downpour of rainwater left the man soaked, and his clothes were dripping wet in the incident that happened on 17th June in Chongqing.
CCTV footage in the restaurant caught the funny moment.
The man, identified as Mr. Chen, said that the incident occurred due to the accumulation of water on a parasol above the restaurant’s entrance, which could no longer withstand the weight of the increased rainfall.
As a result, when it tipped over, the water came pouring down and drenched him completely, including his phone, which was also damaged.
The restaurant owner, Mrs. Hu, explained that her husband was sitting next to the door of the restaurant after a busy day and was playing on his phone.
She told local media: “It was pouring down with rain, and the water on the canopy suddenly splashed down onto him, soaking him completely, I couldn’t help but laugh until my sides hurt.”
The video was posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, and the video received almost 10,000 comments.
