Local media reported that a boy and two male companions were eating in the canteen at Tianjin University in China when he reportedly said that cat faeces stank.
After that, the video shows a girl coming towards the boy and dumping a plate of roast duck rice on his head.
The girl ran away after that but the boy and his friends chased her and caught her, according to local media.
She reportedly accused them of insulting cats by saying that the smell of cat faeces stinks.
Then, she allegedly criticised the boys’ appearance, saying that they were ugly.
The row could not be resolved by themselves, so they called the police and waited for their arrival.
The girl did not apologize but paid CNY 300 (GBP 32) as compensation to the boy to who she had tipped her food over, according to local media.
The incident was settled after the mediation.
The video was posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
