This is the shocking moment a man and his son mercilessly beat and trample on an orphan for sitting on a stool in their shop to eat a snack.
The unnamed victim, reportedly an orphan, was assisting his sister in making money by picking through rubbish.
He was beaten by the shop owners of a crockery shop near the East Gate of the Taj Mahal in Agra City, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, where he sat on a stool to eat around 5 pm on Tuesday, 7th November.
The store CCTV footage shows the shop owner arriving and flying into a furious rage when he sees the boy, slapping him seconds after he sat on the stool with a plate of food.
The shop owner and his son even caused the boy’s plate of food to fall to the ground.
The boy, holding his cheeks where he was slapped, can be seen in tears.
The shop owner then attempted to slap the boy again but was prevented by a friend, and they both left.
The two men already in the shop approached the boy, with one of them placing his hand on the boy’s shoulder, possibly consoling him before returning to eat.
Seconds later, the alleged shop owner’s son emerged was also seemingly outraged, grabbing the boy by the scruff of his neck and hitting his head on another stool before throwing him to the ground.
He can then be seen trampling his body with his foot twice before being stopped by onlookers who came to the boy’s rescue.
The boy suffered fractured ribs from the beating, according to local media.
The Agra Police Commissioner stated: “In the case related to the beating of a minor child in a shop near the East Gate of Taj Mahal, both the accused have been detained by the Tourism Police, and advance legal proceedings are underway.
“The injured child is being treated.”
