This footage shows a man letting his pit bull loose on a woman after she objected to the dog pooing on her doorstep.
The incident took place in front of the woman’s house in Swaroop Nagar, New Delhi, India, at around 8:45 am on Friday, 3rd November.
The owner of the pitbull had reportedly been bringing the dog to defecate in front of the victim’s house, prior to the day of the incident.
The victim, identified as Riya Devi, decided to confront the man when she noticed through CCTV footage that he had once again brought the dog to defecate in front of her house.
As shown in the footage, the man then apparently released the pitbull at her after she confronted him.
The dog can be seen repeatedly biting the woman as it lunges at her.
Footage shows locals coming to her rescue while attempting to restrain the dog.
The woman can be seen cradling her arm as she manages to get away from the dog at the end of the footage.
She left the scene with injuries from being bitten by the canine, according to reports.
The woman sustained five bites on her hands and legs.
Riya later reported the incident to the local police station.
A spokesperson from Swaroop Nagar Police Station said: “A complaint was filed, and a case has been registered based on CCTV footage. We are investigating the incident.”
Riya expressed her fear after the incident, saying: “I am very scared and have not been stepping out of the house. The dog is allowed to roam freely, and all the neighbours are scared.”
She also mentioned that the man who released the dog to scare her lived in the same neighbourhood.
Riya’s husband informed the police that their family and the man had been having misunderstandings for a while.
The police are currently investigating the matter, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
The woman’s current health condition was also unknown at the time of writing.
