This is the moment a group of tourists brawls at the top of a mountain peak after a few of them began arguing over a picture spot.

The bizarre incident – captured by an unnamed traveller – reportedly took place at the Yulong Snow Mountain in Yunnan Province, south-western China.

The group reportedly first began rowing over a picture spot and it soon turned physical.

Phone footage – shared later on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok – shows two men pushing and slapping each other’s arms in the middle of a crowded scenic spot.

A man who appears to be a cable car operator attempts to break them with the help of a few bystanders while dozens of others watch on in shock.

But as the two get pulled away from each other, bystanders, who seem to be their family members, join in and continue fighting.

The two men immediately go back to fighting each other as more people join in trying to stop the altercation.

One of the men, dressed in dark jeans and a white T-shirt, drags a woman by her hair and punches her head while she struggles to break free.

Several more men step in to help the worker calm them down.

Ultimately, police reportedly had to get involved and escort the brawling tourists down the mountain.

The Yulong Snow Mountain, also known as Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is a popular attraction site made up of 13 peaks with the highest one, Shanzidou, rising 18,360 feet (5,596 metres) above sea level.

The snow-covered mountain earned the tag “Jade Dragon” due to its resemblance to a giant jade dragon when viewed from Lijiang Old Town.
