These images show a teacher being beaten and then covered in thick black oil after he allegedly molested a 16-year-old schoolgirl in India.
The footage shows the teacher, whose shirt has already been ripped open, and his vest torn, being marched and pulled by an angry woman.
Another man can be seen hitting him before he sits down on the ground in the incident, which took place in Rajasthan’s Ganganagar district on 18th September, the same day the teacher allegedly molested the girl, whose name has not been reported.
A black liquid that appears to be oil can then be seen being poured on the teacher, named only as Rajesh, who was also reportedly beaten.
He puts his hands together and does not react while the crowd berate him.
A man standing behind him can be seen holding what appears to be a hockey stick before the footage ends.
The girl’s family reported him to the police, with Rajesh also reportedly filing a complaint for assault.
A local police officer, Sudha Palawat, told local media that the girl’s family went to the school and beat the teacher before blackening his head and face.
He added that the incidents are being looked into, saying: “The matter is being investigated. No arrest has been made so far.”
