This is the horrific moment a man is crushed to death under a commuter train as he falls onto the tracks after being punched by a passenger.
Shocking CCTV footage of the gruesome death shows how it began when victim Dinesh Rathod, 26, bumped into a woman on the packed platform.
As the woman – named in local media in Mumbai, western India, as 30-year-old Sheetal Mane – begins battering him with her umbrella.
Then her husband Avinash, 31, is seen landing a powerful punch on Rathod’s face knocking him backwards onto the track.
Moments later he is crushed under the wheels of a train pulling into the station.
In hard-to-watch last moments, Rathod tries desperately to climb back onto the platform only to be dragged under the train.
Worker Rathod was rushed to hospital after a painstaking operation to free him from under the train but was declared dead on arrival on 13th August.
The Mane couple fled the station but were seized by police soon after.
They were booked for culpable homicide, a manslaughter charge under Indian law.
