This is the moment a boozer tries to walk into a shop but he smashes right through its glass door with his head after it was cleaned spotless.

CCTV captured the painful-looking incident at the shop, a duck neck butcher’s in Hinggan League, in northern China’s Inner Mongolia region, at around 10:55pm on 15th September.

Duck neck is a popular snack in China. It is typically soaked in spices before being dried and baked.

The footage shows the male customer, who had reportedly been drinking, preparing to enter the store but he apparently fails to notice the glass door right in front of him.

He walks into it head-first and it ends up shattering, with shards of glass going all over the floor.

The man stumbles back and grabs his forehead in apparent pain and confusion.

The shocked shop staff look at him in shock.

Ms He, the shop’s owner, said she and a male worker had been busy all day and were getting ready to pack up and go home.

As they were getting ready to close for the day, the man came by and accidentally broke the door, startling both of them.

According to local media, the man had out drinking and the alcohol apparently clouded his vision as he hurried to enter the store to buy some tasty treats.

Ms He said: “The incident has already happened, and we can only deal with it as soon as possible.”

Fortunately, the man was not injured.

M. He said that despite the shattered glass door, she did not blame the man. On the contrary, she asked with concern whether he was hurt.

In the end, the man made a purchase in the store and voluntarily covered the cost of replacing the glass door.

He even offered to take her to the hospital for a checkup because she was pregnant.

Ms He added that she will place more prominent signs on the store’s entrance to remind customers to be cautious about their safety.

Additionally, she appealed to the wider online community to stay alert in their daily lives, especially when entering public places, and to be mindful of their safety and the safety of others.
