This is the moronic moment a gang terrified drivers on a motorway by letting off a huge box of fireworks as they raced down the road at 70mph.

Footage of the Diwali stunt emerged on social media in India showing at least three vehicles packed with passengers taking part.

In the clip, a 4WD races down the motorway in Gurugram, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on 12th November, with a box clamped to its roof.

Inside the box, dozens of powerful fireworks go off one after another sending sheets of flames and sparks into the sky.

Gurugram Police said: “Detailed information regarding this video is being obtained by Gurugram Police, on the basis of which strict action will be taken against the culprits as per rules.”
