This is the jaw-dropping moment a fearless little girl is filmed conquering a 180-foot-tall climbing wall inside a large shopping centre.
The child’s remarkable feat caught the attention of an amazed shopper in Shanghai, in eastern China.
In a video filmed by the unnamed visitor, the girl is seen reaching nearly the top of the 10-storey-high climbing wall.
The young girl, secured by a safety harness, steadily climbs up from the base of the wall that is so far down that the people standing there appear as tiny ants.
The man behind the camera can be heard saying (in Chinese): “Even from a top-down perspective, I feel a sense of awe. This young girl is truly impressive.”
He later shared the footage on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, where it boasts more than 45,000 likes and over 23,000 shares.
Thousands of netizens praised the girl’s skills and daringness.
One user titled ‘lonely patient’ said in a comment: “This kind of girl possesses courage, bravery, self-confidence, and decisiveness. In the future, she will surely outshine many of her peers.”
While ‘Liu Xinyu’ said: “Is it hard to praise this little girl? She is already more impressive than 90 per cent of adults.”
And ‘My name is Li Ruihao’ wrote: “It might seem easy at a glance, but I bet most people haven’t tried it before. Before I climbed, I thought it was simple too, but in reality, it’s very physically demanding, including the courage needed to jump down at the end.”
