This gutsy woman was filmed as she stood on the narrow ledge of a seventh-storey window to clean the glass from the outside without any safety gear.
The determined housewife, whose identity is unknown, was spotted by a horrified neighbour in Panjin, in China’s north-eastern Liaoning Province, on 17th November.
Phone footage shows the woman in a pink blouse and headscarf inching across the ledge in just her slippers above a 100-ft drop.
A man could be seen calmly observing her from inside the apartment as she held onto the window pane with her right arm and extended her left to reach the far corners of the dirty glass with a piece of cloth.
The person who filmed the video said they were shocked to see her cleaning on the edge of the seventh floor without any sort of protection.
They added they hope that if her family sees the footage, they will remind her to be more safe in the future.
Netizens on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, criticised the dangerous act.
One user titled ‘haven of love’ said: “I wouldn’t wipe this even if it was so dirty that I couldn’t see outside! I am severely afraid of heights, and even more afraid of falling to my death.”
User ‘Xiaoxiao jewellery’ commented: “You are incredibly daring. My legs feel weak just watching this.”
And ‘ghgkkk’ wrote: “Don’t the family members inside this person’s home worry? If my husband went out to clean windows like that, my heart would be in my throat.”
