This is the shocking moment a driver mows down a young delivery rider who sat on his parked motorcycle by the side of the road, then abandons the car and flees.
The incident, which reportedly occurred in Maoming, in China’s southern Guangdong Province, on the night of 8th December, was captured by surveillance cameras.
In the video, the delivery man, identified as Zhang, is seen resting against his motorbike while checking the food delivery information on his phone.
At that moment, a white SUV suddenly veered sharply to the left, heading straight for the rider.
Although he saw the car coming, Zhang could not get off his bike and away from the vehicle’s path on time.
Seconds later, the SUV ran him over and pinned him against a nearby wall where it crashed.
The male driver then reversed and stopped in the middle of the street. Seemingly not caring if the person he struck was alive or dead, he got out of the vehicle and walked away from the scene.

As he left, a female passenger got out of the back seats.
Shockingly, she also did not seem to care what happened to the delivery man, who was lying unconscious on the ground, but instead calmly tied her hair and circled around the car to inspect where it was damaged.
Ignoring the injured person, she removed the smashed-up front bumper, then got in the driver’s seat and drove off.
At this time, several people who heard the sound of the collision rushed to the scene to check.
Miraculously, Zhang had survived the accident and was rushed to hospital, local media reported.
The next day, police located the driver, identified only as Huang, and promptly arrested him.
According to police, he had been drunk driving at the time of the accident.
