The video shows the moment a motorcyclist loses balance over his bike and crashes into an air conditioner on the pavement.
In the footage, the man, whose identity was not disclosed in media, can be seen riding along the right-most lane of a busy street in Tianjin, located on the shore of the Bohai Sea in Northern China, on the morning of 7th December.
But he then suddenly strayed off the road and crashed straight into a store’s AC condenser unit. A green rubbish bin, and a blue mop bucket.
He ended up on the ground and only recovered after a good Samaritan cyclist. Allegedly the store’s owner, approached him in order to get him back on his feet.
The nearly minute-long recording received nearly 10,000 likes after it was posted on Douyin. China’s version of TikTok, the same day.
Many netizens seemingly could not hold back from commenting.
TikTok user ‘Brother Dong’ said: “It doesn’t matter if you lose some points, but if you lose your life, it will be troublesome!”
User ‘147021578353’ commented: “According to the Civil Code, the outdoor unit of the air conditioner must be higher than 2.5 metres [8.2 feet] from the ground.”
And ‘travel alone’ added: “May the shop owner have a big business and a bright future.”
