This is the moment a delivery worker smashes a glass door with his helmet after accidentally walking into it as it was closing.
CCTV footage shows the moment the man walks towards the exit of a building in Hangzhou, in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province at about 1:15pm on 22nd August.
The worker, surnamed Liu, told local media he was on his way to a hospital to deliver food.
He said that due to the tight schedule for delivering the order, he was looking down at his phone in a hurry and did not walk directly through the centre of the door.
In the video, he can be seen rushing towards the sliding glass door.
But the sensors apparently do not pick up on his presence and the doors begin the close.
Moments later, Liu accidentally stumbles into the glass that smashes into pieces when he hits it with his hard helmet.
Thankfully, Liu said he was not injured apart from a 0.3-inch cut on his hand.
He is currently receiving treatment for his injury and has contacted his insurance company for compensation and said he has already received CNY 300 (GBP 32) upfront.
Liu added that in the future, he will be extra cautious around automatic doors during deliveries.
