This is the horrific moment a woman snaps a sick selfie at a Chinese beauty spot with what was thought to be a tourist’s corpse in the background.
The victim had slipped and fallen six feet down a rocky slope beside a brook at Xihui Park in Jiangsu Province on 26th June.
At the time other shocked visitors were referring to the woman’s body face down and motionless in the undergrowth as a body.
But apparently untroubled the woman can be seen trying to find the perfect position to get the corpse in the background.
Then she can be seen putting on a gruesome smile as she flicks her hair back and shoots her selfie.
At one point a woman at the scene can be heard clearly calling the body a “corpse”.
The fallen tourist was believed to have been unconscious for a long time, and whether she was alive or dead at the time was unknown.
The victim was later found to have been injured but alive and was carried away on a stretcher.
Local media reported that the victim was rushed to a hospital and is recovering.
The video was first uploaded to Weibo and soon made its way to Twitter.
Outraged users heavily criticized the woman for ignoring the injured person.
A user commented: “She should be ashamed of what she did.”
Another commented: “Only psychopathic criminals will smile and take photos with the corpses.”
