This is the terrifying moment a man is swept to his death down a powerful waterfall while his friends look on helplessly.
The victim, named as 32-year-old Pawan Kumar had been bathing in falls with friends when it was suddenly hit by powerful monsoon flood waters.
A phone video taken by one friend shows Kumar being swept along as he smashes into rocks on the Bhagsunag waterfall in Dharamshala, India, on 16th September.
As he disappears two of the group stand stranded on a rock as the torrent of water surges past them.
His desperate pals can be heard shouting in the background as they try to find a way to reach him.
Local media reports that his body was eventually found 300 feet down the falls by the local State Disaster Response Force.
The group were reportedly all friends visiting the region on holiday.
The falls are a popular local tourist attraction and are dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Kumar’s body was taken for an autopsy, according to local media, and was later handed over to family members.
