A six-year-old boy gave his grandma the fright of her life as he walked into the house dragging along a six-foot snake to prank her.

The boy’s father, surnamed Bai, said the family lives in a mountainous village near the city of Mengzi, in China’s south-western Yunnan Province, where they encounter snakes every so often.

His young son has learned not to fear them and apparently decided to use one six-foot-long serpent to scare the adults on the morning of 8th November.

CCTV footage shows him dragging the long snake to the entrance of his house, while his three friends watched from the door.

The boy then dragged the snake, which appeared to be dead, into the house, startling his grandmother who was resting.

His father said the boy had initially wanted to scare his mum but she was not home at the time.

Instead, he ran into the old woman, who got up and chased after the naughty prankster and gave him a beating.

Bai said: “He dragged the snake away, and grandma chased him and beat him.”

The father added that although he knew the boy was not afraid of reptiles, he was stunned to see him casually holding a snake that large.

Bai said: “Usually, he goes to the wall to catch small lizards and puts them in his bag.

“That snake was very big, even bigger than him.”
