This is the moment a man throws pieces of meat into the air to feed an eagle.
A family was marking the 20th anniversary of their grandfather’s passing by having a barbecue, on 18th June, in Hami, Xinjiang, China.
As they were enjoying their meal, a wild eagle reportedly appeared and began circling above them.
It seemed to have been attracted by the smell of the food, and the family decided to feed it.
The father of the family – not named- can be seen throwing a piece of meat out to the eagle, and to their surprise, the bird swoops down to catch it.
The eagle then continues to fly around the roof, waiting for more food to be thrown on its way.
The family were amazed by this unusual experience and decided to continue feeding the eagle.
For almost an hour, the father kept throwing pieces of meat at the eagle, and the bird kept coming back for more.
In total, they fed the eagle over 20 pieces of meat.
The video was posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
A user ‘Sheng wine’ commented: “Feeding it like this will make the eagle think it’s food if someone threw a stone at it. “
While ‘Great River’ commented: “After feeding it like this, it will come every day.”
And ‘Chen’ commented: “Take care of your little chicken next!”
