The shocking video shows the moment a bunch of fishermen in China are rescued after falling through thin ice in a reservoir near the capital.

The footage shows the group of anglers unable to pull themselves out of the freezing water as people rush to their rescue.

Some of them miraculously manage to swim to the shore, and then yell at the ones stuck in the middle of the reservoir in order to give them advice on how to reach the bank as well.

Despite having attempted to climb onto the ice several times, some of the anglers repeatedly fall through again, as seen in the video.

Media revealed that the incident occurred in the Miyun Reservoir, straddling the Chao River and Bai River in China’s capital Beijing.

The Miyun Reservoir, which was formally completed in 1960, is the largest comprehensive water conservancy project in North China.

No people were injured in the accident, claimed police.

The recording triggered an avalanche of comments after it was shared on the social media platform TikTok on Saturday, 2nd December.

TikTok user ‘little fish’ said: “Just do it, people!”
