This is the nail-biting moment a father saves his panicking three-year-old girl from a peanut she had accidentally stuffed in her nose by carefully taking it out with a toothpick.
The little girl reportedly ended up in tears after playing around with some nuts she found at her home in Bijie, in south-western China’s Guizhou Province.
She ended up stuffing the skinless peanut in her left nostril.
But luckily for her, her father – surnamed Song – was around during her playtime and took immediate action before she ended up accidentally inhaling the peanut further down her throat.
In a video – shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok – Mr Song has his daughter patiently sitting back while he tries to remove the peanut from her nose.
He carefully pushes out the roasted peanut with one end of a toothpick while making sure he does not accidentally harm his daughter with the pick.
And with a few smooth moves, he manages to dig it out of the girl’s nose, and the two then begin laughing.
Many netizens related to the situation, saying children will often stuff things inside their nostrils thinking it is a fun game.
One user titled ‘Smile’ said: “My little nephew stuffed his grandpa’s soybeans into his nose and they even sprouted before we took them out.”
Another user titled ‘a good name with connotation’ wrote: “Keep it and show it to her husband when she gets married.”
While user ‘get together is fate’ warned: “This video should not be posted. Other children will imitate it after seeing it. I suggest deleting it.”
