Two workers were praised as heroes after they rescued a six-year-old boy who was trapped on the ledge of a fifth-floor window.

Frightening phone footage shows the boy barely keeping his balance at the edge of the residential building in Linyi, in China’s eastern Shandong Province on the morning of 14th October.

The danger was spotted by two air conditioner installation workers, Zhang Qingtao and Yang Xiaoqiang, who were having a meal nearby.

Immediately, they rushed over to help and grabbed a safety rope that they used at work.

They climbed to the top of the building and used the rope as one of them lowered himself down to the balcony of the apartment where the boy was stuck, while the other held onto the rope.
