A live streamer who spends just mere seconds promoting a product has earned a staggering total of more than GBP 11 million from online sales in just a week.

Influencer Zheng Xiangxiang has reportedly raked in the impressive profit by promoting products, mainly clothing, to users on Douyin, China‘s version of TikTok.

According to local media, the marketed items appear to be luxury products, but they nevertheless cost no more than GBP 1 each.

Her pitch is short and simple: she stands in front of a giant stack of orange Hermes boxes in a short, black dress, and showcases items such as bath towels, saying: “A towel you can wear after a bath, only CNY 10 [GBP 1.12].”

She then tosses the item aside, grabs another product, quotes a price, and repeats the process.

Zheng spends a total of just three seconds promoting the items without giving any lengthy description or overselling.

She is so quick that users could just blink and miss the items. But astonishingly, the method seems to be working as Zheng has reportedly earned CNY 100 million (GBP 11 million) in just seven days.
