This is the nail-biting moment where a girl trapped under a moving freight train lies motionless as carriage after carriage passes over her.
The terrified youngster – believed to be aged around 15 – had been trapped trying the cross the line in Yalahanka which is a suburb and Taluk of Bangalore Urban district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
The incident happened on 25th August, according to local media.
Video footage recorded by a passerby shows the cool-headed girl laying dead still between the tracks to avoid being crushed.
The clip shows nine goods wagons passing over her although local media reported that dozens clattered by before she could get up.
She is only able to get out when the last carriage disappears and she is hugged by a woman believed to be her mother.
Officials from the Indian Railway Police only found out about the drama after the video went viral on social media, according to local media.
But online critics said that there are not enough safety precautions around railway tracks and that more should be done to stop cases like this from ending in tragedy.
