This is the incredible moment two camels on the loose are seen hopping along a motorway almost as if a couple in love making their escape into the sunset.

The animals were filmed sprinting alongside traffic in Hohhot, a city in northern China’s Inner Mongolia region.

In the video – captured by a car passenger – two adult camels can be seen galloping down the right-most lane before turning onto a side street.

The clip attracted widespread attention after it was shared on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, with the caption: “Come to Hohhot for a trip, where even the camels are free-range!”
