Skilled surgeons saved a two-year-old boy’s life by removing the crushed-up peanuts that were stuck in his airway after they went down the wrong way as he snacked on them.

The unnamed boy was rushed to a hospital in Jiaozuo, in China’s central Henan Province, as he began choking on the nuts.

He had difficulty breathing and began wheezing, so doctors decided he needed an urgent operation.

Video footage of the delicate procedure shows a male surgeon carefully inserting a long metal instrument through, a small tube that was inserted down the toddler’s trachea.

Little by little, he managed to extract a total of 22 kernels from the boy’s windpipe.

Within just 10 minutes, the surgeon removed all the peanut pieces, allowing the boy to breathe normally again.

The clip, shared later on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok. Drew mixed reactions, as some netizens commended the speedy intervention. But others accused the parents of being careless.
