This is the moment one of the first fully electric SUVs from Volkswagen, the ID4, collides with a toll station and bursts into flames in China.
The Hangzhou highway police released a report on the fatal car accident that occurred on 5th June.
The small passenger vehicle crashed into a toll booth facility along the S2 Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway while exiting the Hangzhou toll station at around 5:43am.
The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire, resulting in the death of all four passengers.
The vehicle involved in the accident was a new electric vehicle and had not been on the highway for long before the incident occurred.
Local news media reported that it was a Volkswagen ID4 car.
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle did not slow down before colliding with the toll booth facility.

The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, and no further details have been released at this time.
