This is the moment a plucky pooch scares away a deadly leopard from its owners’ front porch.

A security camera caught the drama as it unfolded at the property in Rahuri taluka, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra state, India.
The footage shows the big cat creeping onto the porch in the early hours of 27th June, only to be met by the brave dog’s loud howls.
Seconds later, the large feline can be seen retreating and heading back whence it came.
After the video was shared online, it racked up hundreds of thousands of views and numerous comments.
One netizen wrote: “The dog was actually scared and it was probably lucky that the leopard was not hunting otherwise the dog was easy prey and it knew that.”
Another commented: “It’s not the dog in the fight but fight in the dog that matters. Life lesson for everyone. No need to get bullied by the size, stand up, fight and raise your voice.”
And others blasted the owners for keeping their pet locked outside the house at night.
The leopard (Panthera pardus) is present across much of Africa and Asia but is considered “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Leopards may be emboldened to attack people or other animals when threatened.
India’s leopard population was estimated at shy of 13,000 in 2018.
