This is the incredible moment a mum saves her baby girl from serious injury and catches her by the clothes the second she falls out of her stroller and plunges head-first towards the ground.
CCTV cameras captured the quick-acting mum while out on the street in Nanyang, in north-central China’s Henan Province, on the afternoon of 24th October.
The video shows the young mum taking her child out for a stroll around the neighbourhood.
But as they moved forwards, the little girl suddenly tried to stand up in her stroller and reached out her hands.
Almost immediately, the tot lost her balance and plunged face-down towards the ground.
Fortunately, her mum was quick to notice and grabbed her by the clothes and pulled her up with one arm seconds before the child hit the ground.
She hugged the little girl, apparently consoling her, when another woman came to see if they needed any help as the footage runs out.
Her speedy response was praised by many netizens on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.
One user titled ‘Little Peach Bunny~’ commented: “As a mother, you can see in all directions and listen in all directions. You can’t take your eyes away from your baby. Only a mother can understand.”
User ‘@Stranger’ wrote: “Being a mother means having quick hands and feet. This is the feeling that you can do anything after becoming a mother. Always remind yourself not to take your eyes off your baby.”
