This is the dramatic moment a dog owner who refuses to take action against a wolf-dog cross that had attacked his friends and family is attacked and hospitalised himself.
He was badly bitten by his own pet while trying to restrain it after it attacked a neighbour who ran off when the owner arrived.
CCTV cameras captured the incident as the owner of the wolf-dog crossbreed fought to bring it under control outside the neighbour’s home in Pingxiang, in China’s south-eastern Jiangxi Province, on the afternoon of 2nd December.
According to the man who shared the footage on social media, but whose identity was not revealed, the aggressive wolfdog had wandered into a neighbour’s yard and attacked the occupants and another dog present there.
The wolfdog’s owner then rushed to the scene to stop the attack, but wound up getting bitten himself.
In the video, he is seen attempting to restrain the vicious wolfdog by yanking its leash so hard he lifted it up in the air.

He appeared to be barely able to hold the dog that kept barking and growling at him, seemingly also agitated by the presence of the other pooch.
The man then attempted to force his dog out the gate while a woman seen nearby tried to help subdue it with the help of a wooden stick as the footage cuts.
According to witnesses, the dog has already bitten four people. The first victim was reportedly a child.
A few days later, after the first attack, a neighbour who came to visit him was also bitten as soon as he walked through the gate.
Another victim was allegedly the owner’s daughter.

Despite the attacks, neighbours claimed the man did nothing to have the dog securely leashed.
After the final incident, the owner, who also got bitten, was admitted to the hospital, local media reported.
It is currently unclear what became of his pet.
The wolfdog, also known as a wolf hybrid, is a canine resulting from the mating of a domestic dog with a grey wolf.

These hybrids can exhibit a combination of wolf-like and dog-like traits, both in appearance and behaviour.
While some wolfdogs can make loyal and affectionate companions, their behaviour and care requirements can be challenging due to the unique blend of wolf and dog instincts.
