This is the shocking moment a circus acrobat plunges from an aerial ring during a live performance, slamming onto a metal frame in front of horrified spectators.
The incident happened in Laoying Village, Heilongtan Town, Luohe City, Henan Province, China, on the evening of 11th March.
Video shows the female performer suspended several metres above the ground while carrying out a routine on a circular aerial ring.
The apparatus had been lifted into the air by a crane positioned next to the performance area.
Footage shows the acrobat swinging and performing moves on the ring for a few seconds before suddenly losing her grip.
She then drops abruptly from the apparatus and crashes onto a metal frame positioned roughly two metres (6.5 feet) below.
Shocked spectators can be heard screaming in the footage as the performer hits the frame. Witnesses later said the iron structure was bent by the force of the impact.
An eyewitness told reporters the acrobat was immediately rushed to hospital after the fall.

According to local reports, the performance took place during a programme of cultural shows held in the village between 10th and 12th March.
Village officials said the circus performance had not been organised by the village committee but was staged independently after the troupe rented a space from local residents.
A staff member from the village committee said the performer reportedly slipped from the apparatus and suffered a fracture but was not in life-threatening condition.
Journalists contacted local authorities to ask about the performer’s injuries and whether safety measures had been in place during the show, but calls to village representatives went unanswered.

Staff at the Heilongtan Town government office said they were not aware of the incident when first contacted.
Officials from the Luohe Urban–Rural Integration Demonstration Zone later confirmed authorities were aware of the case and said it was being handled.
Local government staff said further details about the performer’s condition would be released through official channels after the matter had been reviewed.
