This is the terrifying moment a large, black dog mauls a woman’s pet pup after it suddenly attacked it as the two were strolling down an alley.
CCTV footage captured the woman walking her small, white dog along a narrow passageway in Taizhou, in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province.
All of a sudden, a large black dog lunges out from a parked motorbike and charges towards the white pooch.
It begins viciously attacking and violently shaking the woman’s dog that struggles to break free.
The desperate owner attempts to pull away her pet from the giant dog’s grip as she drags it by the leash backwards into a side alley.
But the large dog refuses to let go and the three disappear from camera.
It was only when security personnel intervened and captured the vicious canine that the pup was saved.
The footage cuts to a scene to show them trapping the black dog with a large net.
It is unclear where it came from but it is believed it does have an owner because it wore a collar around its neck.
Many social media users blamed its unknown owner for keeping it unleashed, and some also faulted the woman with the small pup for not putting up more of a fight.
One user titled ‘gray wolf’ said in a comment: “The owner of the little white dog is a bit cowardly.”
Another user titled ‘ear east’ remarked: “Parents don’t get involved in children’s fights.”
And user ‘Feel free!’ wrote: “Next time you walk the dog and bring a baseball bat with you! You can use it for self-defense as well as to protect the puppy!”
