This is the shocking moment an angry man throws his child from a bridge into a river in a row with his wife.
The incident happened in the city of Chaozhou, in Guangdong Province, China, on 22nd February.
Video footage shows a couple arguing on a bridge while two children stand nearby.
During the confrontation, the man suddenly lifts one of the children and throws the child over the railing into the river below.
The woman shouts at her husband and immediately jumps into the water in an attempt to rescue the child.
Seconds later, the man also leaps into the river.
The second child remains on the bridge and can be heard crying and shouting as the three struggle in the water while bystanders watch in shock.
According to reports, the couple had stopped on the bridge while travelling with their two children when the argument broke out.
The dispute escalated before the man threw the child into the river.
Reports state that the three in the water struggled and that neither adult was a strong swimmer.
Passersby who witnessed the incident rushed to help, throwing a wooden log into the river and assisting in pulling them to safety.
All three were eventually rescued safely.
The second child was later reunited with the family after the rescue.
It was not revealed if police were investigating the incident.
