A six-year-old boy has been praised after he stuck his foot on a broken ladder to stop it slipping and held it in place until his dad was able to climb down safely.

A video capturing the moment it happened in Xingtai, in China’s Hebei province, has gained significant attention online.
The child was seen tightly gripping a ladder that suddenly broke while his father was on it on 27th June.
The following day, Mr. Du, the father in question, shared the story with local media.
He explained that he had just finished repairing a sunshade and was preparing to descend the ladder when it unexpectedly broke.
His 6-year-old son bravely positioned himself, using his feet to support the ladder’s feet and his hands to hold it steady until his father safely climbed down.
Mr. Du expressed immense gratitude for his son’s actions, highlighting the child’s courage and reliability as the ladder unexpectedly gave way beneath him, and he was caught off guard.
With his feet firmly planted, the child held on tightly, ensuring his father’s safety until he reached solid ground.
Mr. Du admitted that he was scared and feared the worst, but his son’s bravery and quick action prevented any harm from befalling him.
