This is the shocking moment a lorry driver attempts to remove blocks of polystyrene from a lorry after one of them mysteriously caught fire, but he cannot compete with the fact that the blaze spreads at an incredible speed.
CCTV images captured the dramatic moment the lorry was engulfed in flames in the incident that took place in the Chinese city of Linyi in the south of Shandong Province on 25th May.
The video starts off when it is not even possible to see the small fire that started on the top, possibly caused by the lorry passing too close to a high-voltage cable.
At this point, the fire is so small that it can barely be seen and the lorry driver undoes one of the fasteners as he attempts to remove polystyrene blocks.
But that lowers the blaze down to a point where it is more easily able to ignite the other blocks, and the fire starts to spread rapidly.
The second man, believed to be his spare driver, also attempts to remove some of the additional blocks before giving up because of the heat from the blaze, and the speed at which it is spreading.
After failing to move the blocks, the driver also tried briefly to move the lorry down the road, but the fire continues to burn, badly damaging the vehicle as well, which is believed to have been a write-off in the end.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which also caused some damage to nearby buildings from smoke and heat.
