This is the moment a man who lay sleeping at the entrance of an underground car park gets run over by a white Bentley whose driver did not notice him.
CCTV footage shows the man, surnamed Ya, all curled up having a seemingly peaceful nap on the ground of a parking lot in Zhuzhou, in southern China’s Hunan Province around noon on 22nd July.
Suddenly, a Bentley SUV apparently exiting the lot makes a left turn, running straight over the sleeping man.
Ya gets immediately woken up and appears to be pleading for help as he wriggles on the ground in pain.
The white SUV, whose driver did not notice the man laying in the middle of the road, keeps going for a few feet, then appears to stop before the footage cuts.
A taxi driver who happened to be passing by moments before Ya got run over saw him lying asleep and thought something might be wrong so he called emergency services.
Paramedics arrived to find Ya passed out and with an injured leg.

But incredibly, he survived while being barely harmed.
Afterwards, Ya came to his senses and told rescuers he was a busy white-collar worker who has recently been under a lot of pressure and often stays up late working overtime.
Feeling so tired after getting off work that day, he laid down at the entrance to the parking lot and took a nap.
He thought the location was relatively safe, with almost no traffic passing by.
Ya and the Bentley driver later spoke through a lawyer, who reportedly stated both men were equally responsible for the incident.
